Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is celebrating its fifth anniversary, marking a significant evolution from its origins as a platform for influencer boxing to becoming a prominent promoter, particularly within women's boxing.

The promotion's inaugural event in August 2021 featured co-founder Jake Paul against MMA fighter Tyron Woodley. A rematch followed, and for a time, MVP's most notable fight was Paul's bout against an aging Mike Tyson.

Initially, MVP faced criticism from boxing purists for its focus on names and matchups that diverged from traditional boxing standards. However, its upcoming anniversary card signifies a shift in the promotion's identity and potentially its future direction.

The main event of the anniversary card will see Mikaela Mayer face Chantelle Cameron in a bid to unify the WBA, WBC, and WBO light-middleweight titles. The undercard also features significant women's boxing, with Caroline Dubois defending her WBC and WBO lightweight titles against Amelia Moore.

This focus on women's boxing has positioned MVP as a major player, especially as a primary promoter for the sport in the UK. Boxer Caroline Dubois noted the changing perception of female fighters, stating, "Respect is the biggest change. I've seen and felt it." She added that what was once viewed with skepticism is now seen as a serious part of the sport, no longer dismissed as a "joke, a gimmick, a side caricature."
