Mohamed Salah, the celebrated captain of Egypt and former Liverpool forward, is reportedly set to join Turkish club Trabzonspor. The move would mark a new chapter for the prolific striker, who spent several successful seasons with the English Premier League club.

Trabzonspor, nicknamed the Black Sea Storm, boasts a rich history in Turkish football, having secured seven league titles. Their most recent championship came in 2022, ending a 38-year wait for the title. Based in the northeastern city of Trabzon, the club is among the elite six to have won the Turkish Super Lig.

Salah's signing is anticipated to be a landmark event for Trabzonspor, adding him to a roster that includes former Liverpool teammate Daniel Sturridge and ex-Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe. During his tenure at Liverpool, Salah was instrumental in numerous victories, helping the team secure two Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, a Club World Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, an FA Cup, and two EFL Cups.

Individually, Salah achieved significant recognition in England, winning the Premier League Golden Boot four times and earning the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award on three occasions in 2018, 2022, and 2025. Despite a notable performance in Liverpool's 2024-25 title-winning season, contributing 29 goals and 18 assists, his playing time reportedly decreased in the subsequent campaign following a disagreement with former head coach Arne Slot.

Images circulated online showed Salah being greeted by a large crowd of enthusiastic fans upon his arrival at the airport, with some indicating his presence in a Trabzonspor shirt. One image captured him smiling with his hands raised amidst the throng of supporters, while another showed him gesturing with a finger to his lips while interacting with the fans.
