Former Australian batsman Michael Hussey has been appointed as a long-term batting consultant, Cricket Australia announced. Hussey will work with the national team to assist in their preparations for future Ashes series, including the upcoming campaigns and the 2027 Ashes.
His role will also extend to helping the team prepare for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, where cricket will make its debut. Hussey brings extensive experience as a player, having represented Australia in 79 Test matches, 185 One Day Internationals, and 38 Twenty20 Internationals. He is widely regarded as one of Australia's finest batsmen of his era.
