Mexico vs. England World Cup Tickets Reach Thousands as High-Stakes Match Approaches

Tickets for the highly anticipated 2026 World Cup Round of 16 match between Mexico and England at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City are now available, with prices for the July 5th contest starting at $4,114 USD, including fees. Seats in the 100-level section are listed at $7,906 USD, also inclusive of fees, on the resale market.

Mexico, playing as a co-host, has maintained a perfect 4-0 record at their home stadium in the tournament thus far, not conceding any goals. This strong performance has ended a 40-year drought in the knockout stages for the Mexican team.

Despite Mexico's home advantage and recent success, England, who are 3-1-0 in the tournament, are considered favorites by some pundits. England advanced to this stage by defeating the Democratic Republic of Congo 2-1 in the Round of 32.

England's coach, Thomas Tuchel, has acknowledged the challenges of playing in Mexico City, citing the altitude as a significant disadvantage that the team cannot fully adapt to in a short period. The potential for disruptions, such as noise outside the team hotel, which was reportedly a factor before Mexico's match against Ecuador, is also a recognized obstacle.

The upcoming match carries historical significance, as Mexico seeks revenge for losses against England in the 1966 and 1986 World Cups.

Full rosters for both teams have been released. Mexico's squad includes players such as Julián Quiñones, Guillermo Ochoa, and Edson Álvarez, while England's roster features Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Jordan Pickford. A complete schedule for the 2026 World Cup, featuring matches across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, is also available.
