The New York Mets, embracing a seller's mentality at the 2026 MLB trade deadline, acquired infield prospects Jefferson Rojas and Sammy Stafura in separate deals. The team sent Tyrone Taylor and Clay Holmes to Chicago, and Luke Weaver to Pittsburgh.

Rojas arrives from Chicago, while Stafura joins the Mets organization from Pittsburgh. Both players are 21 years old and play the infield. They are expected to develop within the Mets' farm system with the aim of eventually contributing to the major league club in Queens.
