Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby has stated he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from left knee surgery. Crosby underwent the procedure in January to address a torn meniscus, an injury that ended his 2025 season prematurely.
On his podcast, "The Rush Podcast," Crosby shared his optimism about his rehabilitation progress. "Super excited, we got a big chunk of this rehab left that are like the final touches where I can cut free," he said. "So I’m feeling amazing, everything is feeling incredible. We’re ahead of schedule, feeling amazing, feeling great, feeling like myself. Got my pep in my step."
Crosby has also been working on his boxing skills as part of his return to form. In recent years, he has faced persistent health challenges, including two high-grade ankle sprains in 2024 and the knee injury that ultimately required surgery in late 2025. "I'm feeling the healthiest I've been in years," Crosby added.
Despite his injury concerns, Crosby was reportedly on the trade block during the offseason, with the Raiders actively exploring options for their five-time Pro Bowl selection. A proposed trade to the Baltimore Ravens in March was ultimately nullified due to concerns about Crosby's knee health.
Since the trade's cancellation, Crosby and the Raiders have focused on moving forward. Prior to his recent injury issues, Crosby recorded a career-high 14.5 sacks in 2023, alongside 90 total tackles. The team will be looking for similar production from him in the upcoming season as he returns to full strength.
