Manchester United is resolute in its decision not to sell captain Bruno Fernandes before the upcoming transfer deadline, despite interest from several European clubs. Galatasaray has reportedly prepared a formal offer of approximately £42.7 million for the Portuguese international, along with a contract that would effectively double his current salary.

Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek is reportedly keen on securing Fernandes, with the proposed annual wage packet at £18.3 million. This offer, benefiting from Turkey's tax system, would provide Fernandes with a take-home pay significantly higher than his nearly £200,000-a-week salary at Manchester United.

The Turkish club's potential offer is understood to include an initial bid supplemented by performance-related add-ons. These could include bonuses for title wins, for Fernandes being the league's top assister, and for Galatasaray's progression in the Champions League.

Despite the lucrative proposal, Fernandes' intention has been to remain at Old Trafford and pursue his ambition of leading Manchester United to a Premier League title challenge. This stance contrasts with his feelings last year when he was reportedly unhappy with the club's position when Al Hilal made an £80 million offer.

Fernandes, 31, has one year remaining on his current contract, with an option for an additional season, but has not yet agreed to an extension. The expiration of his £57 million release clause means any interested club would now need to offer considerably more to secure his services, especially given the current inflated transfer market. Mamachester United, meanwhile, continues to seek at least one more signing this summer to bolster the squad under coach Michael Carrick. Separately, West Bromwich Albion has shown interest in midfielder Toby Collyer.
