Manchester City has completed the signing of winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for a transfer fee that could reach £65 million. The deal for the 26-year-old Senegalese international includes an initial fee of £60 million, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.

Ndiaye has agreed to a five-year contract with Manchester City. "I've worked my whole life for an opportunity like this," Ndiaye stated. "City are one of the best clubs in the world and I've seen them win everything as I've grown up. To be able to write my own chapter in a story that special is the chance of a lifetime and I'm determined to grab it with both hands."

He added, "It's not always been easy in my career, but I always had the belief that I could play for a team challenging for the biggest prizes and now I'm here."

During his time at Everton, Ndiaye made 74 appearances and scored 21 goals. He initially joined the Merseyside club from Marseille in 2024.

The transfer follows a complex deadline day situation where Tottenham Hotspur had reportedly agreed to terms with Everton for Ndiaye. That potential move was contingent on Richarlison moving to Everton in a separate transaction. However, sources indicated that Richarlison failed to agree to personal terms with his former club, preventing Tottenham from finalizing the Ndiaye transfer.

This signing occurs on the same day Manchester City agreed to a joint-British transfer record fee of £125 million for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez. Ndiaye becomes City's eighth summer acquisition under manager Enzo Maresca, joining previously signed players Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Allan Elias, Jeremy Monga, and Pierce Charles.
