Manchester City has secured the signing of winger Allan Elias from Brazilian club Palmeiras for a transfer fee that could reach £34.2 million. The 22-year-old Brazilian has agreed to a five-year contract with the Premier League side.

The initial payment for Elias is reported to be £32 million, with an additional £2.2 million in potential add-ons. Elias is viewed as a direct replacement for his compatriot Savio, who recently transferred to Tottenham Hotspur for £75 million.

During his time at Palmeiras, Elias made 96 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists. He progressed through the club's youth academy before becoming a senior player.

"This is a surreal moment for me. Manchester City, with everything they have won over the past 15 years, are one of the most attractive clubs in the world for players," Elias stated. "To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life."

He added, "I love Palmeiras and always will - but the decision to come to City was an easy one. I want to be the best footballer I can be and the conversations I've had with the people at City so far has convinced me there isn't a better place for me to fulfil my ambitions."

Elias is the latest acquisition for manager Enzo Maresca's squad during a period of significant transfer activity for Manchester City. The club has reportedly spent over £230 million this summer on new players, including Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million and Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille for £85.6 million.

The club is also reportedly in discussions with Liverpool regarding a move for Dutch forward Cody Gakpo and is interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

Manchester City has also generated substantial revenue through player sales, raising over £286 million. Notable departures include Rodri, who moved to Barcelona for £65 million, and Tijani Reijnders, who joined Al-Qadsiah for £52 million. Nico Gonzalez and James Trafford also commanded significant transfer fees, while Omar Marmoush's loan to Tottenham includes an obligation for a permanent transfer next summer valued at £60 million.
