Manchester City has agreed to a deal in principle to sign 18-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille, according to reports. The transfer is valued at 100 million euros, approximately £86 million.
BBC Sport previously reported that the two clubs were in advanced negotiations for the Moroccan international to join City. With the agreement now in place, Bouaddi is expected to complete his move to England.
The Premier League club has identified central midfield as a key area to strengthen their squad, especially after the departures of midfielders Rodri and Tijani Reijnders. Manchester City is also reportedly interested in signing Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, though the feasibility of that deal remains uncertain.
