Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is spending his rehabilitation time at New York Giants training camp closely observing head coach John Harbaugh to gain a deeper understanding of the team's playbook.

Nabers, who is currently sidelined with an injury, has been seen standing alongside Harbaugh during 11-on-11 practice sessions. He explained that this proximity allows him to receive direct tutelage on routes and play calls from the coach, whom he described as having a "great mind for ball."

"He knows every single play and what everybody is doing," Nabers said of Harbaugh, highlighting his intensive study of the team's offensive strategy.

Nabers has also participated in routes-on-air drills, demonstrating sharp cuts and successful catches. His ability to engage mentally with the team's strategy while recovering physically underscores his commitment to integrating into the Giants' system.

In other training camp observations, quarterbacks Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston were noted for their sharp performances, completing a high number of passes and leading extended drives under pressure. The third-team offense saw significant work, though quarterback Brandon Allen threw an interception to linebacker Zaire Barnes, who returned it for a touchdown.

The team also reported on injuries sustained during practice. Running back Cam Skattebo, outside linebacker Brian Burns, and center John Michael Schmitz all left practice due to injuries. Schmitz "got his bell rung," according to Harbaugh, and did not return to practice. Skattebo and Burns also did not return.
