Luka Doncic's ex-fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, has reportedly filed a new lawsuit in Slovenia seeking $50 million and increased custody of their two young daughters. This development comes just days after Goltes had reportedly asked a Los Angeles judge to dismiss a previous child support case, stating an intention to resolve matters amicably.
Goltes is demanding $40 million for herself and an additional $10 million for the couple's daughters, Gabriela, 2, and seven-month-old Olivia. The lawsuit also reportedly seeks to increase Goltes' custody rights, reducing Doncic's visitation from twice a week to once a week.
Goltes initially filed for child support and attorney fees earlier this year. The couple's legal disputes have intensified since Doncic, 27, ended their engagement in March, shortly after the birth of their second daughter. Doncic, who signed a three-year, $165 million contract with the Lakers a year ago, cited his desire to be with his daughters as the reason for the engagement's end. He stated at the time, "I love my daughters more than anything and I've been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the US during the season, but that hasn't been possible."
Doncic has accused Goltes of filing the child support petition in California to take advantage of the state's laws, arguing that neither she nor the children are residents of California, as they live in Slovenia. He filed a motion to dismiss the original petition on these grounds.
Following the conclusion of the Lakers' season in May, Doncic opted out of playing for the Slovenian national team this summer to spend more time with his daughters. He expressed on Instagram that he had found it extremely difficult to see them over the previous eight months and that his daughters and fatherhood responsibilities are his priority.
