LIV Golf has officially informed its players that its season-ending Team Championship in Michigan has been canceled, multiple reports indicate. The event, scheduled to feature a $40 million prize pool, was reportedly removed from television listings, and no infrastructure has been built at the intended venue, The Cardinal at Saint John's.

This cancellation follows weeks of speculation and another disrupted event, LIV Golf Louisiana, which was also scrapped in June. The series has faced significant uncertainty since the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced it would cease funding after the current season concludes.

Despite informing players of the Michigan event's cancellation, emails promoting ticket sales for the Aramco LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship continued to be sent. Reports suggest that while the event may no longer appear on LIV Golf's official schedule, tickets could still be purchased through promotional links.

Players reportedly remain unclear about how the team race standings will be determined at the upcoming LIV Golf Indiana event, which is now set to be the final tournament of the 2026 season. The distribution of the $40 million in team prizes is also uncertain.

Last week, LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil stated that an investor had been identified to fund the league's operations in 2027. However, the identity of this potential investor has not been revealed, and no agreements have been publicly announced. Reports suggest that any such deals may be contingent on retaining golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm.
