Myles Lewis-Skelly has stated his intention to remain at Arsenal and work towards securing a regular first-team spot. His prospects within the squad face increased competition following the club's acquisition of midfielder Guimaraes for £75 million from Newcastle United. However, the demanding schedule of multiple competitions could still provide Lewis-Skelly with the desired game time.

Arsenal is actively looking to offload several players before the transfer window's closure. Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli could be made available if suitable offers are received, while Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson are not currently part of manager Mikel Arteta's plans. The club's significant investment last summer, which saw eight players arrive for £250 million, has been followed by over £100 million spent in the current window, with further additions anticipated before the deadline.

Arsenal has already seen Christian Norgaard depart for Everton in a £7 million deal and Leandro Trossard join Besiktas for approximately £15 million. The Gunners acknowledge the need for flexibility in the market as the transfer deadline approaches.

As an academy graduate, any sale of Lewis-Skelly would represent "pure profit" in the club's financial accounts. He himself acknowledged this by posting "pure profit" on social media alongside a picture with the Premier League trophy after Arsenal's title celebration. However, the recent introduction of new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules has altered the financial impact of such sales. Under these new regulations, any player sale's value will be evenly distributed over the duration of their contract, diminishing the immediate accounting boost clubs previously received from selling academy products.

While a move for Lewis-Skelly does not appear imminent at this moment, his long-term future at Arsenal remains uncertain.
