NBA superstar LeBron James has spoken about the crucial role his family plays in supporting his career, highlighting his wife Savannah as the "queen of the kingdom" for holding their household together. James made these remarks during an interview with young reporter Jazlyn Guerra of Jazzy's World TV at Fanatics Fest.
James, 41, acknowledged that balancing his professional life with family time can be challenging, but emphasized the importance of his support system. "The best thing I have is, I have support," James stated. "My wife, Savannah, does a great job of when I’m out playing my sport or doing my job. She holds the household down; she’s the queen of the kingdom. That helps tremendously, and our family wouldn’t be as tight as we are without her."
He also reflected on the sacrifices made during his more than two decades in the NBA. James admitted that he may not have always been present for friends and family due to his demanding schedule and dedication to the sport. "Doing things that you would love to do like your friends," James said. "Like you want to hang out with your friends a lot sometimes, and when I was younger, I had to sacrifice, maybe not going out with them, because I had to get up and work out the next day."
Despite the professional demands, James has strived to remain involved in his children's lives. He was notably present at games for his sons Bronny and Bryce during their high school careers at Sierra Canyon. In 2024, LeBron and Bronny made history as the first active father-son duo to share the court as teammates in the NBA after Bronny joined the Los Angeles Lakers.
