The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to terms on a two-way contract with former Miami (OH) guard Peter Suder. The agreement was reached immediately after Suder was not selected in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Suder, a 6-foot-5 combo guard, had a notable final season with the RedHawks in 2025-26. He averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, leading Miami to its first regular-season conference championship in 21 years. The team achieved a perfect 31-0 regular season record, including an undefeated 18-0 in conference play.

His individual accolades in 2025-26 included being named the MAC Player of the Year, the first for Miami since Michael Bramos in the 2008-09 season. Suder also guided the RedHawks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007. He was a two-time All-MAC first-team honoree during his college career, which began at Bellarmine before he transferred to Miami.

In the 2025-26 season, Suder demonstrated efficient scoring, shooting 54.6% from the field. This included a 59.7% success rate on two-point attempts and 42.1% from three-point range.

The Lakers also recently agreed to a two-way deal with former Vanderbilt forward AK Okereke.
