Los Angeles Lakers forward Adou Thiero is on track to make his season debut on Friday when the team hosts the Portland Trail Blazers.

Thiero was taken off the injury report after being sidelined since the preseason due to left knee swelling. He had previously played in the Lakers' first three preseason games, averaging 5.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 18.4 minutes per contest.

The swelling occurred in the same knee that underwent surgery in the spring of 2025. Thiero had also missed training camp, the preseason, and the first 13 games of the regular season with the same issue. The team temporarily halted his on-court activities for a few days during the early part of the season before gradually increasing his workload.

On Wednesday, Thiero was assigned to the Lakers' G League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Lakers, for practice before being recalled on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sandro Mamukelashvili is listed as questionable for Friday's game due to illness.

Bronny James and Cameron Carr will be assigned to the Coachella Valley Lakers for their season opener on Friday against the Salt Lake City Stars at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert.
