A recent training video featuring Chicago Bears cornerback Kyler Gordon has generated discussion about his potential return to play this season. The video, posted on social media, shows Gordon participating in rehabilitation exercises, including lunges, jumping drills, and sprinting, under the guidance of rehab specialist Foot Doctor Moe. This comes just one day after Bears general manager Ryan Poles expressed uncertainty about Gordon's availability for the remainder of the season.

Poles stated on Tuesday that while he still harbors hope for Gordon's return, he could not confirm if the cornerback would play again for the Bears. "I don't know," Poles replied when asked about Gordon's playing status. "I would hope so. I still have hope there. He's going to have to continue to work hard and come back to play football again."

The general manager also indicated that Gordon was working with individuals outside the team's official training staff as part of his recovery. "Some of these guys, they also have other people that they work with too," Poles said. "But yeah, he's working. … We're not progressing as fast as we'd like. That's really all I have to say."

Gordon, who signed a three-year, $40 million contract extension prior to last season, is currently on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. This designation means he will miss at least the first four games of the current season. He was a second-round draft pick in 2022 and made an immediate impact for the Bears, recording three interceptions in his rookie year and two more in the subsequent season. He started 13 games in 2024, but injuries, including calf and groin issues, limited him to just three regular-season games last year.

The video of Gordon's workout, shared via Instagram, appears to showcase a level of physical activity that suggests progress in his recovery, potentially offering a counterpoint to the cautious outlook expressed by the team's general manager.
