ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit shared a personal anecdote about his wife's method for attempting to have sons, a story that caught the attention of former NFL player Jason Kelce.

Herbstreit, speaking on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast, recounted that his wife, Alison, a former gymnast, would perform handstands after intercourse. He believes this practice, based on the idea that male sperm are faster, contributed to their family having four sons. "She heard that the male sperm were faster," Herbstreit said on the podcast. "She would do a headstand or handstand, she would go up on the bed and we’re four-for-four."

Fellow podcast guest and former NFL player Taylor Lewan shared a similar, albeit modified, experience, stating his wife was not a gymnast, so he would hold her legs up. The conversation prompted Jason Kelce, whose brother Travis is in a high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift, to share a clip of the podcast on his social media.

Kelce tagged his wife, Kylie, in the post. The couple has four daughters, and Jason Kelce has previously expressed openness to having a fifth child, noting that having a son "would be fun."

Kylie Kelce has not yet publicly responded to her husband's post. In January 2025, she had acknowledged that adding a son to their family might present unique challenges.
