Jordyn Woods has revealed the intricate process behind planning her wedding to NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns, a celebration that required careful coordination with his demanding professional schedule. The model discussed the compressed timeline for their August 15, 2026, nuptials in Malibu, which followed the New York Knicks' NBA championship win in June of the same year.
Woods took the lead on designing Towns' wedding attire, as his participation in the NBA Finals left him with limited time for personal planning. "So Karl is in this thing called the NBA Finals so he didn’t have time to design his looks. He knew he wanted a Ralph Lauren suit, [and] I took it from there," Woods told Vogue in a recent interview. She sourced a silk swatch from designer Danielle Frankel and provided it to Ralph Lauren to match Towns' tuxedo.
The couple, who met in 2017 and began dating in 2020, got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2025. Woods recalled Towns expressing his desire to marry in the summer, which is his only available time off due to the NBA season. "Karl said, ‘I want to get married this summer,’" Woods shared. "With his job, he only has summer to get married, so I knew, ‘OK, this summer means I have such a short window.'"
Woods also navigated the challenges of securing a wedding dress within a six-month timeframe. She managed to attend four showroom appointments, ultimately selecting Danielle Frankel. Her wedding ceremony dress featured a strapless top with ruching and a handmade ivory veil. For subsequent events, she wore a lace gown with lifted sleeves and, for the welcome dinner, a silk satin slip dress.
The wedding ceremony was attended by a notable guest list, including Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Teyana Taylor, Gayle King, Michael B. Jordan, Ben Stiller, and Christine Taylor. Several of Towns' Knicks teammates, including NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson and players OG Anunoby and Josh Hart, were also present. The Knicks secured their first championship in 53 years by defeating the Spurs in five games in the 2026 NBA Finals. The team celebrated with a parade in New York City on June 18, followed by media appearances. Towns and Woods attended Fanatics Fest together in July.
