Jon Rahm stated he has become adept at navigating "turbulence" as he offered few details about his future with LIV Golf ahead of the Irish Open. The future of the LIV Golf tour has been a subject of speculation following the withdrawal of financial backing from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The 2026 LIV season concluded earlier than anticipated due to the cancellation of the team championship in Detroit. However, Rahm's teammate Tyrrell Hatton expressed confidence in the tour's continuation next year.

"Yes and no, it hasn't really changed from my last interview in Indianapolis a few weeks ago," Rahm told BBC Sport when asked about his knowledge of what lies ahead. "And there's just a lot of things in place, right? There's a lot of things that could happen and it's one of those things where time's gonna tell."

In early September, LIV confirmed it was "scaling back operations" and implemented layoffs. Rahm acknowledged the situation, saying, "To be fair for us people that joined LIV, I'm pretty good at dealing with turbulence," referring to his status as a two-time major winner.

Following the Irish Open in Doonbeg, County Clare, Rahm is scheduled to compete in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, a premier event on the DP World Tour. Earlier this year, the DP World Tour reached an agreement with several LIV players, including Rahm and Hatton, allowing them to participate in LIV events without facing sanctions. This agreement, however, is only valid for the current year.

When questioned about a potential return to the PGA Tour, a path chosen by fellow major winners Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed, Rahm responded with "we'll see what happens."
