John Cena appeared on WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, to announce Zilla Fatu as the second superstar to join the John Cena Classic. Fatu, the son of the late Umaga and the great-nephew of wrestling legends Afa and Sika, will join Cody Rhodes in the pro wrestling showcase.

Cena, who has had numerous past rivalries with members of the Anoa’i wrestling family, expressed his admiration for Fatu’s lineage. "I kinda feel like an honorary Samoan sometimes," Cena stated, referencing his history with wrestlers like Rikishi, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and The Usos.

"For real, your family has done so much for me," Cena continued. "It is an honor, tonight, to give to you an opportunity to debut in the John Cena Classic."

Fatu, who debuted in NXT earlier this year, appeared emotional by Cena’s words. "I just want to say I appreciate you. I appreciate the relationship you had with my family," he said. "I’m more blessed that you are giving me this opportunity."

Fatu also issued a warning, stating, "I’m coming for everything," ahead of his appearance on "Monday Night Raw" on Dec. 14.

The John Cena Classic is scheduled to take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Disney World. Cena unveiled the championship belt for the event on Monday. Fans who sign up for Club WWE will have the opportunity to vote for the winner, regardless of the match outcome.
