Joe Buck Agrees to Mammoth $108 Million Contract Extension with ESPN
The veteran broadcaster's new deal will keep him calling "Monday Night Football" and will include the network's second Super Bowl broadcast.
Joe Buck has reportedly agreed to a new six-year contract with ESPN worth $108 million, extending his tenure as the lead NFL commentator for the network. The deal, which will see his annual salary increase from $15 million to $18 million, ensures Buck will continue to call "Monday Night Football" games into the 2030s.
Under the terms of the agreement, Buck is also slated to call ESPN's second Super Bowl broadcast in 2031. He and longtime partner Troy Aikman joined ESPN in 2022 after leaving Fox Sports together.
While Buck's contract is now secured, Aikman, a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, remains unsigned. Aikman's current five-year, $90 million contract is set to expire after the Super Bowl in February.
Buck and Aikman recently began their 25th season working together, a partnership that has made them the longest-serving announcing team in NFL history. Their latest broadcast was the Kansas City Chiefs' victory over the Denver Broncos on Monday night.
