New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn has publicly addressed and dismissed rumors suggesting that running back Breece Hall could be traded. Glenn stated on Monday that Hall is "still a part of this team" and emphasized the organization's commitment to retaining its top players.
Speculation about Hall's future has surfaced as the Jets have navigated recent games without him due to a quad injury. During Hall's absence, fellow running back Braelon Allen has stepped up, exceeding 100 rushing yards in three of the five games Hall missed. Allen recorded 147 rushing yards and a touchdown in the Jets' recent loss to the Raiders.
Despite Allen's impressive performances, Glenn reiterated that the team intends to keep its "better players." Hall, who signed a three-year, $45.75 million contract extension in May, is expected to return to the lineup this week. The NFL trade deadline is set for November 10 at 4 p.m.
This situation comes after the Jets traded away prominent players like cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams at last year's trade deadline.
