Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice, 63, was involved in an unusual incident at the American Century Championship last week in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. During the celebrity golf tournament, Rice appeared to chase down a heckler who yelled "Fore" after his swing.

A viral clip shows Rice lining up for a shot when an unclear comment could be heard. Following his swing, a fan off-screen shouted, "Fore." Rice looked back toward the fans and then began walking towards them, calling out, "Hey. Yo. Hey. Hey."

Rice eventually ducked under a boundary marker and started running after a group of fans, holding his golf club and calling out, "Which one? Which one?" An individual in the group responded, "Green and blue," as other fans turned their attention to the scene.

The video suggests Rice caught up to the individual or group, though the person filming remained at a distance. Following the encounter, Rice returned to the golf course, where he was met with cheers and applause from other spectators. He waved to the fans and appeared to be smiling.

This is not the first time Rice has had a notable interaction at the American Century Championship. In 2024, he reportedly told a reporter, "I will f--k you up," when asked about the Chiefs' receivers during a practice round.

Rice, the NFL's all-time receiving yards leader with 22,895 yards and a three-time Super Bowl champion, finished 42nd out of 90 competitors in the tournament. Mardy Fish won the event with a score of 72, and Steph Curry finished third. The tournament took place from July 8-12.
