Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reacted with visible anger as his team blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead to the Arizona Cardinals, ultimately losing 33-30 in overtime. Cameras captured Jones slamming his hands on a table and exclaiming in his luxury suite during the Cardinals' game-winning field goal drive.

The Cowboys now hold a 3-5 record after the loss, fueling speculation about the future of head coach Brian Schottenheimer. However, Jones insisted he would not dismiss Schottenheimer mid-season.

"I will say that a lot of people let Brian down today," Jones told reporters after the game. "For whatever criticism we wanna have of Brian - we can all get in line - and that was a total, to use a cliche, that was a total team effort out there for us." He added, "For our fans, we have to be better than that when we got our hands on a win and then drop the ball."

Jones cited his past experience with making a mid-season coaching change, referencing the dismissal of Wade Phillips in 2010. That move led to an interim coach, Jason Garrett, who was later hired full-time but had a tenure marked by limited playoff success. Jones stated he did not see a similar situation with Schottenheimer.

The Cowboys, despite being one of the healthiest teams in the NFC East, find themselves second in their division behind the Philadelphia Eagles, who are dealing with injuries to key players like Jalen Hurts. Their divisional rivals, the New York Giants and Washington Commanders, are also hampered by significant injuries.

Dallas will look to rebound next Sunday in a road game against the Indianapolis Colts.
