New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson underwent a minor surgical procedure on his left wrist and hand to repair a tendon issue, with an expected recovery timeline of six to eight weeks. The procedure, performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery, took place on Tuesday.
Contrary to some reports, the injury was on Brunson's left, shooting-side wrist, and the surgery has already been completed.
Brunson played through discomfort during the NBA Finals against the Spurs. The tendon issue caused pain whenever he went into his natural shooting motion, as the tendon rubbed against the bone in his left wrist. His performance in the Finals helped lead the Knicks to a championship.
