New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, 29, shared that video games are the one thing he cannot live without, admitting he is currently engrossed in playing FC 26, the latest soccer game from EA.
During a recent interview, Brunson was asked about the one thing he couldn't live without. His mother, Sandra Brunson, stated that family was her answer. Jalen Brunson initially responded, "So my answer was going to be video games, but I can’t do that now," drawing laughter from his mother. He then confirmed his current gaming focus on FC 26 and his anticipation for future installments.
As a child, Brunson's video game time was regulated. His mother explained that for any hours he spent gaming, he had to compensate with educational activities, such as reading books. This rule limited his playtime. However, there was a loophole: he was permitted to play if he had a friend over. Given that two of his close college friends, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges, are now teammates on the Knicks, this childhood rule might still allow for considerable gaming time during the NBA season.
Brunson and his teammates were instrumental in securing the Knicks' first NBA championship in 53 seasons in June. As the Knicks' captain, Brunson is set to aim for another title next summer, all while continuing to balance his gaming pursuits.
