A hockey game between the Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils was interrupted by a violent brawl that broke out in the stands, with video footage showing several rows of fans involved in the altercation. The fight allegedly began after some fans engaged in trash talk about Canada.
According to a witness who posted on social media, the incident escalated when fans behind a man wearing a camouflage shirt made disparaging remarks about Canada. The man, identified as Canadian, reportedly warned the other fans to stop their comments. When the taunting continued, the fight ensued, with punches thrown and fans pulled into lower rows. The witness described the scene as "completely insane."
One individual was reportedly held down with such force that they began to turn purple and struggled to breathe. Both individuals involved in the altercation were ejected from the arena.
The game itself concluded with the New Jersey Devils winning 4-3 in a shootout, meaning any fans ejected, including potentially those involved in the fight, missed the end of the game and their team's victory.
