The New York Jets opened their season with a decisive 23-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, powered by a strong performance from running back Breece Hall.
Hall was a central figure in the Jets' offense, accumulating 102 rushing yards on 22 carries and scoring a touchdown. He was supported by complementary running from backfield mate Braelon Allen, and the offensive line, which collectively controlled the ground game throughout the contest.
Jets quarterback Geno Smith managed the game efficiently, completing 19 of 24 passes for 215 yards without any turnovers. While he did not throw or run for a touchdown, his steady play and crucial completions were highlighted as a marked improvement from the team's quarterback situation in the previous season.

In contrast, Titans quarterback Cam Ward, the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, struggled. He completed just 19 of 32 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown, and was sacked three times. A significant portion of his passing yardage came during a late-game drive after the Jets had established a commanding lead.
Through the first three quarters, the Titans offense managed only 112 total yards. Their sole red zone appearance occurred in the final three minutes of the game, with the Jets already leading 23-3.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn described the team's start as "Pretty good."
