A WNBA game between the Los Angeles Sparks and the Atlanta Dream was briefly interrupted Thursday night when an apparent green sex toy was thrown onto the court. Security apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for the incident.

With under three minutes remaining in the third quarter, as Los Angeles player Jihyun Park was at the free-throw line, a green object landed near her on the court. Park and a referee immediately reacted to the object. A broadcast captured Atlanta star Angel Reese appearing to point toward the stands and say, “Get him, right there.”

Security personnel responded quickly, with one staffer appearing to use a towel to cover the object before Sparks forward Cameron Brink kicked it toward the sideline. An arena staff member then removed the object from the court.

Video footage from a reporter at the scene reportedly showed the alleged perpetrator fleeing the arena wearing a Lakers jersey. The individual appeared to bump into a security guard while exiting the venue.

This incident follows a series of similar disruptions that occurred during WNBA games last summer, which also involved objects being thrown onto the court. One fan was arrested for similar actions at a Dream home game during that period. A group identified as "Crypto" claimed responsibility for orchestrating those earlier stunts.

Last August, the WNBA issued a statement regarding the safety of its arenas. The league stated that any fan caught throwing objects onto the court would face ejection, a minimum one-year ban, and potential legal prosecution. "The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league," the WNBA said at the time. "Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans."
