New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was in uniform for the team's game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, arriving at MetLife Stadium just 2.5 hours before kickoff after encountering traffic delays in the stadium's parking lot. The incident, reported by TMZ, saw the 24-year-old player stuck outside the stadium.

Skattebo reportedly arrived at 5:50 p.m. for the 8:20 p.m. kickoff and was heard pleading, "Let me in! I'm the running back!" as he was forced to identify himself. Players are typically expected to arrive at least four hours before kickoff, as the MetLife Stadium parking lot can become congested up to four hours prior to game time.

It remains unclear if Skattebo's late arrival violated any team policies. A request for comment was made to a Giants spokesman.

Despite the pre-game rush, Skattebo made a notable entrance, wearing a replica high school jersey of quarterback Jaxson Dart. The jersey, No. 2 from Corner Canyon School in Utah, was paired with colorful jean shorts.

Later in the game, Skattebo scored his first touchdown of the season with a five-yard run. He celebrated the score with a backflip, despite warnings from new Giants coach John Harbaugh about his surgically repaired ankle. The celebration drew commentary from fans on social media, with one user referencing his previous injury that ended his rookie campaign.

The touchdown was facilitated by a block from new Giants fullback Patrick Ricard, who joined the team this season. Ricard, a 300-pound player, cleared a path by blocking Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, allowing Skattebo to reach the end zone untouched. A post from The Giants Report highlighted Ricard's block, stating it was an "understatement" to say he would be a significant part of the offense.
