Georgina Rodriguez, fiancée of Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, was seen enjoying a day at the beach in Miami on Sunday. Rodriguez, 32, appeared in good spirits as she spent time with friends.
She was photographed in a black halterneck bikini, accessorized with a pink sarong. During her beach outing, Rodriguez also displayed her engagement ring, a 37-carat oval-cut diamond. Experts have estimated the ring's value to be between $4 million and $5 million.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez are approaching their one-year engagement anniversary, having become engaged last August after eight years together. Rodriguez announced the engagement on Instagram with the caption, "Yes, I do."
Ronaldo previously shared details about his proposal to Piers Morgan, recounting that it occurred around 1 a.m. He mentioned that his children entered the room as he was presenting the ring, prompting him to proceed with the proposal.
He also spoke about the effort he put into selecting the engagement ring, noting that Rodriguez had expressed a desire for a significant stone, which he worked to find.
The World Cup tournament has presented challenges for Ronaldo, 41, who has faced criticism regarding his performance. Portugal did not secure the top position in their group stage and is scheduled to play Croatia in the round of 32 on July 2.
Despite criticism, Ronaldo scored two goals against Uzbekistan and declared, "I’m back." However, head coach Roberto Martinez has defended his decision to continue playing Ronaldo, citing his positioning and discipline. Martinez stated that Ronaldo is accustomed to playing full matches and that his physical and mental condition allows for it. He also indicated that adjustments to playing time could be made in future games.
Rodriguez helps raise a blended family of five with Ronaldo.
