Coco Gauff has reached her first Wimbledon semifinal after a comeback victory over fellow American Jessica Pegula. Gauff, seeded seventh, secured her spot in the final four with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win on Centre Court.

This marks Gauff's deepest run at the All England Club, surpassing her previous best performance of reaching the fourth round. The 22-year-old is the youngest player to reach the semifinals at all four Grand Slams since Maria Sharapova in 2007. Gauff is also the first woman in 30 years to reach the singles semifinals at Wimbledon after winning four consecutive three-set matches.

Gauff overcame an inconsistent start, which included four double faults and 17 unforced errors in the opening set. She recovered her form in the second set, capitalizing on opportunities and battling back to level the match.

The momentum continued to swing in the third set, but Gauff ultimately raised her level at crucial moments. After Pegula broke back, Gauff responded immediately to regain the lead at 4-3 and went on to seal the victory on Pegula's serve.

Pegula, the highest-ranked player remaining in the singles draw, had opportunities early in the second set, holding three break points in Gauff's first two service games. Her inability to convert those chances proved costly.

Gauff will face either Naomi Osaka or Karolina Muchova in the semifinals for a place in Saturday's final. This victory extends Pegula's wait for a maiden Grand Slam singles title.
