Four players on the Minnesota Twins baseball team have coincidentally scheduled their weddings for the same day: November 14. Second baseman Luke Keaschall, shortstop Ryan Kreidler, third baseman Brooks Lee, and pitcher Cole Sands will all be getting married on this date.

Friends, family, and teammates face the decision of which of the four ceremonies to attend. According to Lee, the overlap is coincidental and arises from players’ general preference for November wedding dates. Players often keep their October schedules clear due to the potential for World Series games, and the period closer to Thanksgiving is also frequently avoided.

“You don’t want to be too close to the end of October,” Lee told MLB.com. “and don’t want to be too far [into November] because Thanksgiving is coming up. Seems like everyone is going to choose that date.”

The players and their fiancées reportedly planned their weddings independently without knowing about the others' choices, only discovering the overlap during spring training. Twins manager Derek Shelton noted that November weddings are not uncommon for MLB players, sharing that he himself was married on November 15. He humorously commented on the logistics, joking about having to buy gifts for all four weddings and the challenge of attending each one.

Shelton also mentioned he would be unable to attend any of the ceremonies due to his own anniversary celebration. Brooks Lee and Luke Keaschall, who share the same agent and financial advisor, are planning to hold their weddings in central California and anticipate some guests might attend both events. Kreidler expressed that while he hopes people attend his wedding, he does not want anyone to feel pressured to choose between him and his teammates.

Both Keaschall and Lee expressed anticipation for their weddings, with Lee stating he expects to be emotional. IMAGE2
