Formula One driver Arvid Lindblad has passed his UK theory driving test, taking a step closer to obtaining his full license. The 19-year-old Racing Bulls driver announced his success on Instagram, posting that he had achieved a "easy dub."
Lindblad scored 46 out of 50 in the multiple-choice section and 52 out of 75 on the hazard perception segment. His performance on the latter section drew comment from fans, with some questioning his perception of hazards given his profession.
The test was taken in the UK shortly after Lindblad's participation in the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. During practice for the race, the rookie driver's car made contact with the barriers at Turn 13. Lindblad was uninjured in the incident, which occurred at the circuit's maiden Formula 1 event.
The challenging nature of the Madrid circuit, particularly its fast corners and proximity of barriers, was also noted by other drivers. George Russell of Mercedes commented on the track's demanding layout, drawing comparisons to aspects of the Baku circuit.
