David Moyes has confirmed that midfielder Jack Grealish will continue to be unavailable for Everton's upcoming matches following a disciplinary breach last week. Grealish was dropped for the team's recent games against Newcastle and will not be included in the squad for Friday's clash with Coventry City.
Moyes stated, "No, Jack is not available. I wouldn't give you the plan, but we will be working with Jack again soon." The 31-year-old, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester City, missed a training session last Monday, and staff reportedly struggled to contact him.
Grealish has returned to training but has yet to feature for Everton since the disciplinary action. He had made four consecutive starts before being sidelined for the match against Arsenal on October 24 due to illness. Moyes indicated that the club would "wait and see" if Grealish's relationship with the team could be mended during the upcoming international break.
Moyes has previously expressed support for the "club decision" to discipline Grealish, noting the importance of the team's values both on and off the pitch. "All the players stand up to the values and accept the values, on the pitch and off the pitch," Moyes said. "From that point of view, I think the players did a brilliant job."
Everton will be looking for their third consecutive win against Coventry City. The team's only injury concern is Jarrad Branthwaite, who is being managed for cramp.
