Erling Haaland celebrated his 26th birthday on Tuesday with a lavish meal during his holiday. The Manchester City forward is currently on vacation with his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, in Sardinia, taking a break after representing Norway in the World Cup.
Haaland's birthday celebration featured a large spread of food, including barbecued meats, sausages, pancakes, eggs, bagels, fruit, and a variety of cakes and pastries. The feast was shared on social media via Haugseng Johansen's Instagram account. The striker is known for his demanding diet, reportedly consuming around 6,000 calories daily to maintain his physique. His diet has previously included items such as cow hearts and livers, which he explained in the documentary "Haaland: The Big Decision" as part of his commitment to consuming high-quality, local food. His regular shopping list also features large steaks, raw honey, and significant amounts of milk, which he refers to as his "magic potion." He often pairs these with breakfast items like eggs on sourdough and coffee with maple syrup at his home in Cheshire.
Norway reached their best-ever World Cup finish this summer, ultimately being defeated by England in the quarter-finals. Haaland's holiday comes as he prepares for the upcoming Premier League season.
This upcoming 2026-27 season will be the first for Haaland at Manchester City without manager Pep Guardiola, who concluded his tenure at the club at the end of the previous campaign. Enzo Maresca, formerly Guardiola's assistant, has taken over as head coach. Since joining Manchester City, Haaland has scored 162 goals in 198 appearances across all competitions, contributing to the team's success, including two Premier League titles, a Champions League, two FA Cups, and a League Cup.
