Tickets for England's last 16 World Cup match against Mexico are appearing on FIFA's official resale portal for as much as £26,000, including a 15% FIFA fee. As of Friday morning, 76 tickets were listed in supporter categories behind the goal in the England section. It is not possible to determine if these tickets are being resold by the original purchasers or by a subsequent buyer.

Tickets designated for the England supporters' group (ESTC) allocation could only be purchased by individuals who identified as an England fan during their FIFA sign-up. Sellers set the prices, which can fluctuate, indicating asking prices rather than confirmed sale amounts. The Football Association (FA) cannot prevent the resale of these tickets as it is permitted by FIFA regulations. However, tickets in the lowest price category, priced at $60 (£45), are not eligible for resale.

The ESTC announced on Tuesday the introduction of a home match anti-touting policy following a successful trial. The match, scheduled to kick off at 01:00 BST on Monday, will be broadcast live on BBC One.

The ESTC, which requires renewing adult members to pay £65 annually, received an allocation of 3,000 tickets for the match at the 80,824-capacity Azteca Stadium. This allocation could not be increased. A total of 4,373 members applied for tickets, indicating significant oversubscription. Supporters with at least 27 caps were guaranteed tickets at face value. The tickets became available for listing on the resale portal after England's place in the next round was confirmed on Wednesday evening, following their victory over DR Congo in the round of 32.
