Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean has addressed his relationship with Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Abby Summers, discussing how they met and whether their connection poses a conflict of interest.
During the June 25, 2026, episode of the "Exciting Mics" podcast, DeJean, alongside co-host and former teammate Reed Blankenship, responded to a fan's question about his relationship with Summers, who cheers for the Eagles' bitter NFC East rivals.
"That seems like it could be messy," the fan commented, referring to the team rivalry. DeJean, however, stated, "I don't really think it's a conflict of interest. I mean, it's not like we both play football. We don't play football. She's a cheerleader. There is going to be no insider information given either way."
DeJean shared that he and Summers had known about each other for some time before meeting in Florida during the national championship game. They subsequently met again the following weekend at the Super Bowl and continued to see each other. The couple made their relationship public at the Kentucky Derby last month and have since been seen together at other events, including a NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race. Summers has also featured DeJean on her social media.
