The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed All-Star pitcher Justin Wrobleski on the injured list due to inflammation in his left forearm. The move came a day after Wrobleski pitched six innings in a loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Right-hander Kyle Hurt was recalled from triple-A Oklahoma City to join the active roster and bolster the Dodgers' pitching staff. Wrobleski, 26, has been a key contributor for the Dodgers this season, compiling an 11-5 record with a 3.56 earned-run average. He was named a National League All-Star.
This season marks a career-high in innings pitched for Wrobleski, who has thrown 126 ⅓ innings. This follows 71 ⅔ innings pitched in the major leagues last year, with an additional five innings in the postseason. Between the majors and minors, he pitched 123 ⅓ innings in 2025 and a combined 132 innings in 2024.
Despite his overall success, Wrobleski has faced recent difficulties, going 0-3 with an 8.69 ERA over his last four starts. In that span, he has allowed 11 home runs in 19 ⅔ innings. On Saturday against the Brewers, he gave up two home runs and was charged with four runs over six innings in a 4-1 Dodgers loss.
Manager Dave Roberts had previously indicated that Wrobleski might eventually move to the bullpen, but the current injury will sideline him. The Dodgers are anticipating the return of pitchers Shohei Ohtani and Tyler Glasnow to the rotation soon.
