New Manchester City signings possess a strong desire to win, and the entire squad is embracing the vision of new manager Enzo Maresca, according to club captain Ruben Dias.

The club made significant investments during the recent transfer window, spending a Premier League record £458 million on new players. Among the notable arrivals are midfielders Enzo Fernandez, Elliot Anderson, and Ayyoub Bouaddi.

However, Manchester City also generated over £300 million from player sales and saw experienced players like Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and John Stones depart. Dias, who joined the club in 2020 and has been a key part of its leadership, has been appointed captain by Maresca.

Dias stated that his personal approach to leadership remains unchanged, focusing on self-improvement. He highlighted the dynamic within the team, noting the departure of many successful players and the arrival of ambitious newcomers.

"So many people have left and so many winners have left, and now new people have joined with a lot of ambition and people that are desperate to win and that is also what makes the club keep on going," Dias said.

He added that existing players who have achieved considerable success at the club are instrumental in guiding the new additions, emphasizing the essential aspects of maintaining a winning mentality. "Others, Enzo included, that have been here and have won so much here and can very clearly point the way of how to do it and the things that are the most important and undeniable," Dias explained.

The captain emphasized the blend of ambition from both new and existing players. "But then as well, the ambition from us that are here and still want to be here and keep on winning. They are joining and full of ambition and with all the dreams in the world. The mix of these makes it work."
