Declan Rice is a fitness concern for England's upcoming match against Panama after being seen with heavy strapping on his left calf following Tuesday's goalless draw with Ghana. The midfielder played the entire match against Ghana, despite having previously disclosed he was managing a hamstring issue since Christmas. He was substituted in the 72nd minute of England's 4-2 victory over Croatia last week.
Rice was observed walking with a slight limp and with bandages around his left calf muscle before boarding the team bus after the match in Boston. England has since returned to their base in Kansas City and is scheduled to travel back to the East Coast on Friday for their final group stage game at the MetLife Stadium.
Manager Thomas Tuchel will be monitoring Rice's condition, with medical staff also expected to assess Elliot Anderson and Reece James. Anderson reportedly sustained a blow to his back and was substituted in the 73rd minute. James received extensive treatment for a head injury in the first half but continued playing for the remainder of the game.
