UFC President Dana White publicly criticized his broadcast team for misidentifying boxer Shakur Stevenson as an NBA player during Saturday night's event.
Stevenson, a multi-division world boxing champion, was in attendance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to witness Conor McGregor's highly anticipated return fight against Max Holloway. However, the live broadcast graphic identified Stevenson as Jalen Williams, a player for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
"I just paid Shakur Stevenson a sload of money, and for some reason we can't figure this celebrity s out," White stated during his post-fight press conference. "They put him up as a fing OKC NBA player. Are you fing kidding me? It's absolutely crazy."
White added, "We are the absolute worst to ever do the celebrity thing. When we put celebrities up, we are the worst. We put up f***ing graphics and put the wrong guy's name on it."

Stevenson recently signed a significant deal with White's Zuffa Boxing promotion. His appearance at the UFC event followed this announcement. The fight itself saw McGregor suffer a knee injury within the first minute of the bout, ending his comeback prematurely.
