Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, reporting debts of $3.45 million despite being on his rookie contract. The news prompted OutKick host Craig Carton to question the support Rice is receiving from his teammates and the organization.

On "The Craig Carton Show," Carton expressed sympathy for Rice's financial situation but criticized the lack of assistance from his fellow players. "It pisses me off because he is surrounded by multi-millionaires," Carton said. "Guys that we keep getting told are like family to him. That are brothers to him. That cared so much about him two years ago when he had that ludicrous car accident."

Carton recalled the widespread support Rice received when facing criminal charges and civil lawsuits following a previous car accident, with numerous Chiefs players wearing "Free No. 4" shirts. He contrasted that public display of solidarity with the current perceived silence regarding Rice's financial troubles.

"Well, where are you today?" Carton asked. "Now, I want to be very clear about this: it's not their responsibility to bail him out financially. I'm not saying it is, but it's what a friend would do. It's what a brother would do if you had the available funds yourself to help him out."
