A heartwarming exchange between popular cosplayer Fabiola Morales, known as Fabibi World Cosplay, and WWE Superstar Stephanie Vaquer at Fanatics Fest in New York City has captured widespread attention online. Morales, who hails from Chile, attended the festival dressed in a meticulously crafted costume honoring Vaquer, the NXT Women's Champion.
The cosplayer's dedication to replicating Vaquer's wrestling attire, described as a "100% handmade costume" and a "100% faithful design to the original," impressed fans and the wrestler herself. The encounter culminated in a special moment where Vaquer not only met Morales but also signed the intricate cosplay.
"It was an honor to pay tribute to my fellow Chilean, meet her in person, and receive her autograph on my cosplay," Morales shared on social media. "Thank you, Stephanie, for being so kind to every fan and for proudly representing Chile on the world’s biggest stage. So proud of you, La Primera."
The viral moment provided a contrast to some of the other notable, and at times contentious, interactions at Fanatics Fest. While celebrity athletes like Serena Williams and David Beckham were in attendance and the event anticipated 200,000 visitors over four days, the meeting between Morales and Vaquer resonated with many for its genuine appreciation and shared cultural pride.
Fanatics Fest, a significant gathering of sports enthusiasts and athletes, has seen substantial growth since its inception in 2022. This year's festival featured discussions and appearances from prominent figures in the sports world.
