Cody Bellinger, outfielder for the New York Yankees, has been awarded the American League's Platinum Glove, recognizing him as the league's premier defensive player. This honor follows his earlier selection as a Gold Glove winner.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, center fielder for the Chicago Cubs, received the Platinum Glove for the National League. All Gold Glove winners from each league were eligible for the Platinum award, with the winner determined by fan vote.

Bellinger becomes the second Yankee to receive this top defensive distinction, following catcher Jose Trevino in 2022. In the 2026 season, Bellinger spent 130 games in the outfield, primarily in left field for 123 of those games. His performance metrics included an 87th percentile ranking in fielding run value and six outs above average, placing him in the 91st percentile according to Baseball Savant. He also ranked third in all of Major League Baseball with 21 defensive runs saved.

Statistically, Bellinger posted a .989 fielding percentage with eight assists as an outfielder. He also demonstrated defensive versatility by playing six games at first base. Earlier in the season, Bellinger also earned the All-Star Game MVP award after contributing a two-run single to the American League's victory.
