Christie's New York is set to auction a collection of FIFA World Cup memorabilia, featuring items from players, teams, and matches. The online auction, titled "One Goal," will commence next week and includes 20 lots of sports and music memorabilia.
The sale aims to benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to expand access to quality education and sports for children in underserved communities. "There's no bigger global story than the FIFA World Cup and no better auction house at storytelling than Christie's," Julien Pradels, president of Christie’s Americas, stated.
Among the highlighted items is the costume worn by Shakira in the music video for "Dai Dai," the official song of the 2026 tournament. Additionally, the auction will feature the official game ball used in the July 19 final match at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Other notable items include a jersey signed by Lionel Messi and outfits worn by performers from the first-ever FIFA World Cup Halftime show, which included artists like Justin Bieber and Madonna.
The collection also includes a soccer ball signed by the US Men's National Soccer Team, commemorating their 4-1 victory over Paraguay in their June 12 opener. Signed jerseys from players such as Santiago Gimenez and members of the USMNT will also be available. Many lots will have opening bids of $100, making them accessible to a global audience.
The "One Goal" auction is scheduled to run from July 22 to July 29. The initiative is part of FIFA's broader effort to raise $100 million for grassroots organizations worldwide.
