Celtic manager Martin O'Neill and senior club board members faced a two-and-a-half-hour question-and-answer session with approximately 120 supporters at the Greenock Celtic Supporters’ Club on Monday night. The meeting, described by the club as 'hard but fair,' addressed fan concerns regarding recruitment, transfer policy, club communications, ambitions, and strategy.

O'Neill was joined by chairman Brian Wilson, chief executive Michael Nicholson, chief financial officer Chris McKay, and other officials for the event. Representatives from several local Celtic supporters' clubs were in attendance.

The meeting occurred one day after Celtic's 2-0 loss to Falkirk, a result that extended a recent run of poor form with only three wins in their last 10 matches across all competitions. O'Neill, whose own position has been under intense scrutiny, stated his desire to meet with supporters. "We have had a few difficult weeks in recent times and I understand our supporters’ frustrations, but my resolve and the commitment of the players is as strong as ever to continue to bring success and progress to the club," he said.

Chairman Brian Wilson acknowledged the critical nature of the feedback and vowed that the club would consider the points raised. "We didn't expect an easy ride and didn't get one, but the meeting was conducted in a constructive and mutually respectful way and the messages delivered by supporters will be taken on board and learned from," Wilson commented. The club has revealed that the feedback from the supporters will be taken on board and learned from.
