Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride stated that the team does not have any fans in its home state, attributing the situation to the high number of people who move to Arizona from elsewhere and remain fans of their original teams. McBride made these remarks on the podcast "Bussin' with the Boys."

"Living in Arizona, you know, no one’s from Arizona," McBride said. "Everyone has moved in from another state, so they’re all fans of their own team. It’s a tough deal."

McBride expressed hope that increased team success could help cultivate a local fanbase. "Hopefully we start winning some games and we can bring some of those fans back," he added.

The Cardinals have experienced limited playoff success in the last decade, reaching the postseason only once in the past 10 seasons. Their playoff record includes two wins, both against the Green Bay Packers during the Aaron Rodgers era, since their last Super Bowl appearance.

Despite these comments, McBride has emerged as one of the NFL's top tight ends, accumulating 237 receptions for 2,385 yards and 13 touchdowns over the past two seasons. His performance comes as the team navigates quarterback uncertainty, with Jacoby Brissett holding out during minicamp over contract restructuring demands.
